MEMBERSHIP STANDARDS AS A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HOME BASED SECRETARIES, WE PLEDGE TO ENFORCE THE FOLLOWING ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES:
· Be sensitive to client needs and compassionate in providing advice, products, and services in meeting the client's specific work/project goals. · Maintain strict confidentiality with every client, revealing information only upon written authorization by the client. · Furnish clients with professional products and services that will enhance their abilities to achieve their work/project goals and objectives regardless of ethnic origin, physical disability, or background. · Stay abreast of new and emerging trends, formats, styles, and techniques in the administrative work environment, computer hardware and software, technical services, secretarial and economic trends to better satisfy clients' work/project objectives. · Comply with all legal obligations in providing and delivering professional services in a timely manner. · Be cognizant that NAHBS members' contact with the public portrays the image of the association and reflects on the remote secretarial development, administrative services, and remote/home based/work at home service industries. · Deliver the services and products promised to the client and be truthful in guiding, advising, and performing work for clients in all aspects of the remote secretarial industries. · Be responsible and actively responsive to the community through participation in community activities; Offer professional advice and information pertaining to remote secretarial development, clerical work from home, and administrative fields. · Emphasize the professional spirit of the NAHBS by encouraging dialogue and positive relations among members, and members of like-minded associations.
